Palestinian boys wearing kuffiyas to hide their identity and protect themselves from tear gas at Nakba demonstrations in Qalandia

With the recent unification of Hamas and Fatah expectiations for this years’ 63rd Nakba was bigger than ever. Nakba means ‘catastrophe’ and Nakba Day is the commemoration for the Palestinian people of the displacement that accompanied the creation of Israel in 1948.

For this years’ Nakba, demonstrations were planned all over Palestine and by the borders of Lebanon, Egypt and Jordan. But even before Nakba Day, May 15th, clashes abrupted in Jerusalem and several of the villages on the West Bank.

Here’s a collection of posts regarding Nakba.
