Da min bibelske viden desværre er godt g(l)emt og kan primært hentes frem i hukommelsen i form af motiverne for mine tegninger i Kristendomstimerne og teksterne til Jesus Christ Superstar-musical’en. Derfor ved jeg faktisk ikke, hvorfor Palmesøndag hedder Palmesøndag, og bliver lidt overrasket, da jeg på vej mod indgangen til den gamle bydel i Jerusalem ser folk kommer slæbende på palmegrene i alle størrelser – fra små visne kviste til store parasolagtige grene. Sammen med min nyerhvervede fotograf-ven følger vi strømmen af palmer og klatrer op ad de stejle gader, til vi når en lille kirke, hvor folk tilsyneladende samles.
